Mankey Monkey/I Didnt Do It Monkey Project.

Mankey Monkey is a fund raising project in aid of Alder Hey Children's Hospital. A variety of monkey sculptures are displayed through Liverpool City Centre until the end of April 2010.

I was commissioned to design a variety of travel stickers to be applied on the suit case of a Mankey Monkey titled 'I Didn't Do It'. The background story behind this monkey is that he is a time traveller and is unfortunately responsible for some of the most famous disasters of our time.

Therefore my task was to produce travel stickers that recorded the monkey's adventures and showed some evidence/clues of the disasters through out our life time that he was responsible for

This was an extremely interesting project to work on as the travel stickers were defined by their different locations and different periods of time. The history behind the historical events was the most exciting aspect of research and I concentrated especially on being familiar with how certain years/decades differed in graphic design/illustration/typography, in order to recreate/select type and imagery that allowed the stickers to look as authentic as possible.
